UNBLUR • LOVE, UNBLURRED.
WORKING DRAFT — FOR ATTORNEY REVIEW
Unblur Terms of Service
The rules for a voice-first way to meet people.
Hear them first. Photos stay blurred until you both say Keep. These Terms explain what Unblur is, what we expect from everyone who uses it, and what you can expect from us. They are written in plain English on purpose. If anything here conflicts with our Privacy Policy, the Privacy Policy controls for personal data. |

How to read this document: Headings are for convenience and do not affect interpretation. “We,” “us,” and “Unblur” mean the operator named above; “you” means the person using the Service.
1 Welcome and agreement to these Terms
These Terms of Service (these “Terms”) are a binding contract between you and Unblur (the “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) for the Unblur website, progressive web app, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.
We may require you to accept updated Terms before you continue using the Service after a material change. Your continued use after the effective date stated in Section 21 is acceptance of the updated Terms for your ongoing use.
2 What Unblur is
Unblur is a voice-first dating service. Profiles lead with a short voice recording (a “Voice Bio”). Profile photos are shown blurred by default and are revealed only after two people have mutually expressed interest (a mutual “Keep”), as described in Section 8.
Unblur is designed for intentional connection rather than endless swiping. Discovery is curated, daily decisions are paced, and conversation prompts are provided to help people start a real conversation. Unblur is a platform for meeting people; it is not a matchmaking guarantee, a background-check service, an emergency service, or a provider of counseling or relationship advice.
- You use Unblur to meet adults who have chosen to be on Unblur;
- present yourself honestly through photos, a Voice Bio, and written information; and
- decide for yourself whether, when, and how to connect, meet, or continue communicating with anyone.
3 Eligibility — 18+, one real account
You may use Unblur only if all of the following are true:
- You are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter a binding contract in your jurisdiction.
- You are not prohibited by law from using the Service, and you are not required to register as a sex offender in any jurisdiction.
- You have not been permanently banned from Unblur for a safety or fraud violation, unless we give you written permission to return.
- You create and maintain only one account, for yourself personally. You may not create an account for another person, a fictional person, a business, or an automated agent.
We may ask for date-of-birth and other eligibility information during onboarding. Providing false eligibility information is a material breach of these Terms.
4 Account registration and email-code login
You register with an email address you control. We send a one-time code to that address to sign you in; Unblur does not use or store a password for your account. You are responsible for maintaining access to and the security of your email account, because anyone with access to that email and a valid code may be able to sign in as you.
- Provide accurate registration information and keep it current.
- Do not share, sell, or transfer your account or sign-in codes.
- Notify us promptly at support@unblurlove.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
We may reclaim usernames or display names that infringe trademarks, impersonate others, or violate Section 9.
5 Verification and the “Blur-verified” badge
We may offer identity and liveness checks (for example, a selfie or other verification step) and display a “Blur-verified” badge when a check is passed. Verification helps reduce fake accounts, but it has limits:
- A badge means the account passed the check we ran at that time. It does not guarantee that a person is who they claim to be in every respect, that their intentions are as stated, or that they are safe or compatible.
- You agree to complete verification honestly, using your own live image and information. Using another person’s image, a prerecorded or synthetic image, or a manipulated image to pass verification is prohibited.
- We may add, change, or remove verification methods, and we may remove a badge or require re-verification at any time for safety reasons.
Manual, human review may be used for limited safety or quality purposes where disclosed. At scale, we rely on a combination of automated signals, user reports, and sampling; no system catches everything.
6 Your profile — photos, voice bio, and accuracy
6.1 Photos
To create a discoverable profile you must upload between three (3) and six (6) photos of yourself and designate one as your profile (primary) photo. Photos must:
- show you clearly and be recent enough to represent your current appearance;
- be yours to use, with permission from any other identifiable person and from the photographer where required;
- not contain nudity, sexual content, graphic violence, hate symbols, or illegal activity; and
- not be stock photos, celebrity photos, heavily filtered images that materially misrepresent you, or AI-generated likenesses presented as real photos of you.
All profile photos are displayed blurred to other users until a mutual Keep occurs, except for the limited, obscured previews we use to operate discovery. You understand that blurring reduces, but does not eliminate, the possibility that someone who knows you may recognize you.
6.2 Voice Bio — required to be matched
A Voice Bio is an original, in-app voice recording (up to the length we specify, currently designed around 60 seconds) in which you introduce yourself in your own voice. You must record a Voice Bio to enter the matching pool and to be shown to or matched with others. You may save a profile without a Voice Bio, but that profile will not be dealt into matching, receive Hearts, or be shown on others’ cards until a Voice Bio is recorded.
- Record your Voice Bio live in the app. Uploaded, prerecorded, text-to-speech, voice-changed to impersonate another person, or AI-generated voice recordings are not permitted as a Voice Bio.
- Do not include personal contact information, financial information, or another person’s voice without their consent in your Voice Bio.
- We may review or remove a Voice Bio that violates Section 9 or that cannot be played back for technical reasons.
6.3 Accuracy of all profile information
Everything you state in your profile — including age, location (selected from the dropdowns we provide), intentions, relationship status, background, culture and language preferences, health-compatibility information you choose to share, relocation or life-plan information, and family-stage (“Circle”) information — must be truthful and not misleading. Optional fields are optional; if you choose to complete them, they must be accurate. Location is selected from state/province/region and city lists we provide; free-text locations are not accepted, because accurate location matters for safety and for showing you to people nearby.
7 Biometric and voice data consent
Some features involve data that may be treated as a biometric identifier or biometric information under Texas law (including the Texas Capture or Use of Biometric Identifier Act) and, where applicable, other state privacy laws. This Section is part of our consent and retention disclosure. Our Privacy Policy contains additional detail; if there is a conflict, the more specific biometric disclosure controls for biometric data.
7.1 What we may collect
- Your Voice Bio recording and, where needed to operate, moderate, and secure the Service, a voiceprint or other voice-derived measurement.
- If you complete verification, a selfie / facial image and facial-geometry or liveness measurements derived from it.
7.2 Why we use it
We use biometric and voice data only to: (a) create and play back your Voice Bio; (b) verify that a real, live person is behind an account and reduce impersonation and fake accounts; (c) enforce these Terms (including the rule that Voice Bios be recorded live by you); (d) detect fraud, abuse, and safety risks; and (e) comply with law. We do not sell biometric data and we do not use it for advertising profiles or unrelated identification.
7.3 Consent
By recording a Voice Bio or completing a verification step after we present this disclosure, you consent to our collection, capture, and use of that data as described here and in the Privacy Policy. If you do not consent, do not record a Voice Bio or complete verification — but you will not be able to enter matching or obtain a Blur-verified badge.
7.4 Retention and destruction
We retain Voice Bios for as long as your profile is active and discoverable, and biometric measurements derived for verification and safety for the shorter of: (i) the period needed to satisfy the purpose for which they were collected, or (ii) [12 months] after your last interaction with the feature that created them, unless a longer period is required by law, a safety investigation, or a legal hold. When the retention period ends or you delete your account (subject to Section 17), we permanently delete or de-identify biometric data on a schedule not to exceed the period stated here. If you delete a Voice Bio, we delete the recording and associated voice-derived measurements, subject to backups, safety records, and legal obligations described in the Privacy Policy.
7.5 Sharing
We share biometric data only with service providers that help us operate verification, hosting, storage, and safety systems, under contracts that limit their use to performing services for us. We disclose biometric data to law enforcement or others only where required by law or a valid legal process, or to protect safety where the law permits.
8 How matching works — Hearts and the blur / reveal mechanic
Unblur uses “Hearts” to let you express interest or pass. The number, pacing, and availability of Hearts and matches are part of the Service design and may change. We may apply daily and hourly pacing limits (including a hidden ceiling of decisions per day and per-hour velocity limits) to protect conversation quality and prevent spam, scraping, and abusive swiping. Those limits are operational safeguards; marketing language such as “unlimited” describes the absence of a visible counter or per-Heart charge and does not promise an uncapped technical volume.
- A photo unblurs for another user only after a mutual Keep — that is, after both people have expressed interest — or as otherwise clearly disclosed in the product at the time.
- You may withdraw interest or unmatch at any time. After an unmatch or block, the other person will no longer be able to message you through that match, and revealed photos may be re-blurred or hidden going forward, although the other person may already have seen them.
- Matching, ordering, and recommendations are provided by a combination of your preferences, location, activity, and automated systems. We do not guarantee that you will be shown to, matched with, or contacted by any particular person, or that any match will lead to a conversation, meeting, or relationship.
- Guided conversation prompts are suggestions only. You are responsible for what you choose to say.
Please remember: Removing a blur is a product mechanic, not a promise about another person. Always use the same care you would use meeting any new person through any channel.
9 Community rules
Unblur works only if people feel safe being real. You agree that you will not, in your profile, Voice Bio, photos, messages, or any other use of the Service:
- Harass, threaten, bully, stalk, intimidate, or encourage self-harm or violence toward any person.
- Use hate speech or discriminate based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristic, or display hate symbols.
- Post or send nudity involving any person under 18, sexual content involving anyone without consent, or any sexual content where the Service marks it as off-limits. Adult sexual content must comply with the in-product rules shown where you post it.
- Impersonate any person or entity, claim a false affiliation, or create a misleading profile (including age, relationship status, or intent).
- Ask for money, gift cards, cryptocurrency, or financial information; run or promote scams, advance-fee schemes, romance or investment fraud, or commercial solicitation (including escort, sugar, or transactional dating solicitation) except where a feature expressly permits a stated intention and the conduct is lawful.
- Share another person’s private information (including phone numbers, addresses, financial data, or private photos or recordings) without their consent, or record, screenshot, or redistribute another user’s blurred or revealed photos, Voice Bio, or private messages outside the Service in a way that harasses, exposes, or harms them.
- Send spam, repetitive or bulk messages, chain messages, or unsolicited advertising; use scripts, bots, or scrapers; or attempt to collect other users’ data.
- Upload viruses or malicious code, probe or scan the Service for vulnerabilities, or interfere with how the Service or its blur, verification, pacing, or safety systems work.
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or to facilitate human trafficking, exploitation, or any conduct that endangers a minor.
This list is not exhaustive. We may treat any conduct that undermines safety, authenticity, or the ability of others to use Unblur as a violation, even if it is not listed word for word here.
10 No fake profiles, bots, or engagement manipulation
Real people only. You may not create or operate:
- a fake, duplicate (except a replacement account we approve after a lockout), impersonating, catfish, or parody profile presented as a real dating profile;
- a profile that uses AI-generated photos, stolen photos, stock photos, or a synthetic or AI-generated voice presented as your own;
- a bot, script, or automated account; or
- multiple accounts, coordinated accounts, or incentives (paid or otherwise) to create engagement, Hearts, matches, or messages that do not reflect a real person’s genuine interest.
We may remove profiles, withhold a profile from matching, require re-verification, or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe violate this Section, with or without notice where safety requires prompt action. We will not create fake profiles or use bots to simulate user engagement.
11 Safety, reporting, and blocking
Safety tools are built into the conversation, not buried. From within a chat (and from Safety tools in Settings) you can:
- Report an account by choosing a reason from the dropdown we provide (for example: harassment, fake profile, scam or money request, inappropriate content, underage concern, or safety threat) and, optionally, adding detail.
- Block an account so that person can no longer contact you or see your profile through the Service, to the extent technically feasible.
A longer blocked-accounts list is available under Safety in Settings for your own management; it is not a public directory and is not shown as a prominent browsing feature.
When you report, we may review the reported content and related accounts, preserve records for investigation, and take action ranging from a warning to removal of content, restriction of features, or termination. We are not obliged to disclose the outcome of a report about another account, and a report does not guarantee any particular result.
Emergency: If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services (911 in the United States) first. Unblur is not an emergency service and we may not see a report in real time.
You are responsible for your own safety decisions. Consider meeting in a public place for a first meeting, telling a friend where you will be, arranging your own transportation, and not sharing financial or highly personal information with someone you have just met. Those are suggestions, not guarantees, and they do not replace your judgment.
12 User content and your license to Unblur
“User Content” means photos, Voice Bios, profile text, messages, reports, and any other content you submit to or through the Service. You retain ownership of your User Content, subject to the license below.
You represent that you have all rights necessary to submit your User Content and that it does not violate law or any third party’s rights (including copyright, trademark, privacy, and publicity rights).
You grant Unblur a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable (only to our service providers and as needed to operate the Service), transferable license to host, store, reproduce, adapt (including to blur, obscure, resize, transcode, and create lower-resolution or watermarked copies), display, distribute within the Service to users consistent with your settings and the blur mechanic, and use your User Content solely to operate, protect, promote (only with your separate permission for identifiable promotional use), and improve the Service.
The license for profile content ends when you delete that content or your account, except that: (a) content shared with others may have been seen, saved outside our control, or retained in their message history until they delete it; (b) we may retain copies in backups and for safety, fraud-prevention, and legal compliance as described in the Privacy Policy; and (c) de-identified or aggregated data that no longer identifies you is not covered by the deletion right.
We may monitor, review, or remove User Content that we reasonably believe violates these Terms or the law, or to protect safety, without prior notice. We are not required to publish, preserve, or return any User Content.
13 Unblur content and intellectual property
The Service, including the Unblur name, the tagline “Love, unblurred.”, logos, app design, blur/reveal presentation, software, text, graphics, and other materials we provide (collectively, “Unblur Content”), is owned by or licensed to Unblur and is protected by intellectual-property and other laws.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial dating purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse-engineer (except where that restriction is prohibited by law), create derivative works from, or use Unblur Content or any user’s content outside the Service except as expressly permitted here.
14 Subscriptions, billing, and refunds
14.1 Tiers
Unblur may offer a Free tier and one or more paid tiers or features (for example, Premium and, where offered, a human-curated tier). The features, price, and duration of each tier are described at the point of purchase. A tier name such as “Founding member — Free” describes enrollment status and does not by itself create a paid subscription or a checkout.
14.2 Payment processing (Stripe)
Payments are processed by Stripe or another payment processor we disclose at checkout. Your card and payment information are provided directly to the processor and are governed by the processor’s terms and privacy policy. Unblur does not receive or store full card numbers on its servers.
14.3 Billing, renewal, and cancellation
- Paid subscriptions renew automatically for the period you selected, at the then-current price for that tier, until you cancel, unless the purchase screen states otherwise.
- You may cancel at any time through the method stated at purchase (for example, Subscription in My account, or the app-store / processor subscription manager where applicable). Cancellation stops the next renewal; it does not retroactively refund the current period except as stated in Section 14.4 or required by law.
- We may change prices or tier features for future periods with notice given before the change takes effect for your next renewal. If you do not agree, cancel before that renewal.
- Taxes may apply and are calculated by the processor based on your billing information.
14.4 Refunds and charges
Except where required by law or expressly stated at purchase, payments are non-refundable, including for partial periods, unused Hearts or features, unmatches, or dissatisfaction with any person you meet. If a charge is made in error by us or our processor, contact support@unblurlove.com and we will correct it. Chargebacks or payment disputes may result in suspension of paid features or the account until resolved.
14.5 Free trials and promotions
Any free trial or promotion is governed by the terms shown when you enroll. A trial may convert to a paid subscription at the stated price unless you cancel before the trial ends, where that conversion is clearly disclosed at sign-up.
15 Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why, with whom we share it, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights you have — including, for Texas residents, rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, and, where the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation applies, rights that may include access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection.
By using the Service, you acknowledge that we process personal data as described in the Privacy Policy. In particular, you understand that:
- profile information, blurred and (after mutual Keep) revealed photos, and Voice Bios are shared with other users as the product describes;
- precise safety, fraud-prevention, and moderation processing may use automated tools as well as human review; and
- we do not sell personal data for cross-context behavioral advertising as “sale” is defined in the Privacy Policy (see that Policy for the controlling statement).
16 Acceptable use of the technology
You agree not to, and not to help anyone else to:
- scrape, crawl, harvest, or bulk-download profiles, photos, Voice Bios, or other data from the Service, or use automated means to access or interact with the Service except through the interface we provide;
- circumvent the blur, verification, pacing, rate-limit, or other security or access controls, or attempt to view or reconstruct another user’s unblurred photos or Voice Bio without a mutual Keep;
- probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service, or breach any authentication or security measure; or
- overload, disrupt, or interfere with the Service, its hosting, or the networks that support it (including on Cloudflare infrastructure).
We may apply technical measures — including rate limiting, velocity caps, device and network signals, and automated abuse detection — to enforce this Section.
17 Termination, suspension, and account deletion
17.1 By you — delete at any time
You may delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account. Deletion is a two-step confirmation to prevent accidents. After you confirm, your profile will be removed from discovery and your account will be scheduled for deletion as described in the Privacy Policy. Some information may be retained for safety, fraud-prevention, accounting, dispute, and legal-compliance purposes, and deletion may not remove content you already shared with others from their own records outside our control.
17.2 By us
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your account or any feature, with or without notice where safety, fraud, or legal risk requires immediate action, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, created risk for others or for Unblur, or used the Service unlawfully. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you the general reason and, for correctable issues, give you a chance to cure or appeal through support@unblurlove.com.
17.3 Effect of termination
On termination, your license to use the Service ends and you must stop using it. Sections that by their nature should survive — including Sections 7 (as to retention already accrued), 12, 13, 14 (as to amounts owed), 18, 19, 20, and 22 — survive termination. Termination does not entitle you to a refund except as stated in Section 14.4.
18 Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
Without limiting the above:
- We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any person’s identity, statements, photos, or Voice Bio are accurate or complete. Verification is a risk-reduction tool, not a guarantee.
- Except for the verification steps we expressly describe, we do not conduct criminal, credit, or other background checks on users, and we do not routinely screen every message or profile in advance.
- We are not responsible for the conduct of any user, on or off the Service, or for any meeting, relationship, or outcome that follows from using Unblur.
- Voice and photo blurring, pacing, and reporting tools reduce certain risks but cannot eliminate them. You use the Service and interact with others at your own judgment and risk.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above may not apply to you to that limited extent.
19 Limitation of liability and indemnity
19.1 Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL UNBLUR, ITS AFFILIATES, OR THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO UNBLUR FOR THE SERVICE IN THE THREE (3) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR (B) USD $100.
The limitations in this Section apply whether the claim is based on contract, tort (including negligence), statute, or any other theory, and they are a fundamental part of the bargain between you and Unblur.
19.2 Indemnity
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Unblur and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your User Content; (b) your use of the Service or your interactions with any other user; (c) your breach of these Terms; or (d) your violation of law or any third-party right. We may assume control of the defense of any indemnified claim, in which case you agree to cooperate.
20 Governing law and dispute resolution (Texas)
20.1 Governing law
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or related to them or the Service are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, except that the Federal Arbitration Act governs Section 20.2 where it applies.
20.2 Informal resolution first; arbitration; small-claims carve-out
Before filing a formal claim, you and Unblur agree to try to resolve the dispute informally by written notice to the other party (for Unblur: support@unblurlove.com with the subject “Dispute Notice”) describing the claim and the relief sought, and to negotiate in good faith for 30 days.
If informal resolution fails, any dispute will be resolved by binding individual arbitration in Travis County, Texas (or, at our election, by video conference) administered under the rules of a reputable arbitration provider, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court in Travis County, Texas, if it qualifies, and either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to protect intellectual property, safety, or confidential information.
YOU AND UNBLUR WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL AND TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION, CLASS ARBITRATION, OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING FOR ANY DISPUTE COVERED BY THIS SECTION, TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. The arbitrator may award the same damages and relief as a court on an individual basis.
Drafting decision: Have Texas counsel review this Section carefully before launch, including opt-out, delegation, and provider selection. Consider whether to offer a 30-day opt-out from arbitration and state it here if you do.
20.3 Venue for non-arbitrable claims
For any claim that is not subject to arbitration, you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in Travis County, Texas, and you waive any objection based on forum non conveniens.
21 Changes to these Terms
We may change these Terms from time to time — for example, when we add features, change a legal requirement, or clarify a rule. When we make a material change, we will post the updated Terms in the Service, update the “Effective date” above, and, where the law or the size of the change warrants it, provide additional notice in the app or by email before the change takes effect.
If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service and may delete your account before the effective date. Continuing to use the Service after the effective date is acceptance of the updated Terms. Changes do not apply retroactively to disputes that arose before the effective date.
22 Miscellaneous and contact
- Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any purchase terms shown at checkout, are the entire agreement between you and Unblur regarding the Service and supersede prior or contemporaneous agreements on that subject.
- Severability. If any provision is held unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or, if that is not possible, severed, and the remaining provisions will continue in full effect.
- No waiver. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of that or any other provision.
- Assignment. You may not assign these Terms or your account without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business, with notice where required by law.
- Notices. We may give notices in the Service, by email to the address on your account, or by posting. Notices to Unblur under these Terms should be sent to the contact below.
- Relationship. These Terms do not create a partnership, employment, agency, or joint-venture relationship between you and Unblur.
- Headings and interpretation. Headings are for convenience only. “Including” means “including without limitation.”

Appendix A — Definitions
Term | What it means |
Blur-verified | A badge shown when an account has passed the verification check we describe at the time it was run. It is not a guarantee. |
Circle | The family-stage / life-stage information you may choose to share (for example, whether you have children), used for preferences and context. |
Hearts | The in-product way to express interest or pass on a profile. |
Keep | An expression of interest. A “mutual Keep” is when two people have both Kept each other, which triggers the photo reveal described in Section 8. |
User Content | Content you submit — photos, Voice Bio, profile text, and messages. See Section 12. |
Voice Bio | Your original, in-app voice introduction. See Section 6.2. |
Appendix B — Safety commitments at a glance
This Appendix summarizes, and does not add to, the rules above.
We do | We do not |
Blur photos until mutual Keep | Guarantee any person’s identity or intentions |
Require a live Voice Bio to enter matching | Conduct full background checks (unless expressly stated) |
Put Report and Block inside the conversation | Sell biometric data |
Pace Hearts and apply anti-spam velocity limits | Create fake profiles or bot engagement |
Process cards through Stripe (no card numbers on our servers) | Act as an emergency service |
If you believe we have not lived up to these Terms, write to support@unblurlove.com and tell us. We would rather hear it from you than learn it from a regulator or a chargeback.
Acceptance (for records — users accept in-app)
In the product, acceptance is recorded when a user creates an account or taps “I agree” (or the equivalent control) after these Terms are presented. Keep this version, the effective date, and the acceptance log together in your records.

Launch checklist for Bibie: Before launch, confirm: (1) legal entity name and mailing address; (2) effective date; (3) biometric retention period in Section 7.4; (4) arbitration provider and whether you will offer an opt-out in Section 20.2; (5) the subscription cancellation path that will be live at launch; and (6) that the Privacy Policy cross-references match this draft. Then have Texas counsel review both documents together.
